Terms of Use

Assayer is a consumer decision-support tool. It helps you pause, inspect available evidence, and decide what to verify before paying or sharing private information. Assayer is not a bank, law-enforcement agency, antivirus product, legal service, private investigator, charge-recovery service, or emergency response service.

You may use Assayer to check suspicious sellers, pages, messages, ads, and payment requests you encounter.

You agree to:

• Submit content you have a legitimate reason to check.
• Keep your private report link and owner token confidential.
• Use your own judgment before making payments or sharing sensitive information.
• Follow applicable laws and the rights of others when using the service.

You may not misuse Assayer. Prohibited behavior includes:

• Attempting to access reports, tokens, or admin functions without authorization.
• Submitting malware, illegal content, or automated traffic intended to exhaust budgets or disrupt service.
• Misrepresenting Assayer results as proof of crime, guaranteed safety, or official endorsement.
• Scraping, reverse engineering, or interfering with rate limits, cost controls, or security measures.
• Using Assayer to harass, defame, or publicly accuse others based solely on an automated report.

Assayer reports are informational. Important limitations include:

• Assayer can make mistakes. Automated and AI-assisted checks can produce false positives or false negatives.
• Result labels are not guarantees. Labels such as Likely Safe and Not High Risk describe available evidence at check time. They are not guarantees of safety, legitimacy, or future behavior.
• Web Risk results are limited. When Google Web Risk Lookup is used, a no-match result is not proof that a site is legitimate. It only means no listed threat was found at check time.
• Evidence depends on what you share. Assayer cannot see information you did not submit. URL checks in the default path use the link text you provide; they do not replace opening and verifying the live page yourself.
• Not professional advice. Assayer is not legal, financial, law-enforcement, or emergency advice. For urgent harm or ongoing fraud, contact appropriate official channels, your bank or payment provider, and local authorities as applicable.

You are responsible for decisions you make after reading a report. Before important payments, verify seller identity, payment method, return policy, and contact details through independent official channels. Assayer does not process payments, hold funds, or recover money on your behalf.

Assayer may change, limit, or suspend features for maintenance, cost control, abuse prevention, or provider availability. Free full scans may run in limited mode when budgets are exhausted, providers are unavailable, or required monetization is not active. Assayer does not guarantee uninterrupted access or a minimum response time.

Assayer's website, extension, branding, and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Assayer only the rights needed to process your submission, produce your private report, enforce limits, and operate deletion and retention controls.

Do not copy, scrape, or republish Assayer report content in ways that mislead others about what Assayer checked or guaranteed.

Assayer's data practices, retention windows, and deletion behavior are described in the Privacy Policy. By using Assayer, you acknowledge those practices.

Assayer is not directed to children under 13, does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and deletes such information if discovered.
