Online shopping scams cost people billions of dollars every year, and deceptive pages are getting harder to spot. Assayer exists to give ordinary shoppers a clear, evidence-based report before money changes hands.

Assayer combines automated checks and structured analysis into one private report with warning signs, validating signs, missing information, and a recommended next action. Assayer does not sell user data and does not guarantee safety — it helps people pause, inspect evidence, and verify before paying.

How checks work

When you submit a link, text, or screenshot, Assayer examines the available evidence and produces a structured report. API keys and provider credentials stay on the server and are never shipped to your browser or extension.

Assayer separates what was visible from what it may suggest, includes validating evidence when it exists, and returns Uncertain when the information is too incomplete for a responsible judgment.
